The completed piece – See Yourself: You Can’t Hide From You. I love the vivid colors! Something that doesn’t come through in the photo is how opalescent and shiny the ink is. I’ve been diggin on iridescent colors.
I’ve read quite a few resolution lists lately and I think this speaks to my goal for next year. Being yourself can mean a lot of things, and for me it means not forgetting the value of what makes me happy. Society commends sacrifice, and there is a place for that, but we also need to allow ourselves to be a little selfish with the things that define our person. Don’t lose yourself in making others happy, most likely they want the same for you. Embrace what inspires you and brings you joy.
